Snoop Dogg is back in the game (literally). This time he’s showing love to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 by allowing an exclusive song created specifically for the game. The original song is entitled Knocc ‘Em Down. What inspired the simple hook for the song? Snoop explains it smoothly (as always), explaining “Every time you have a party, somebody’s got to get beat up.”
Snoop is excited to be involved with the game, which he thinks very highly of considering the franchise’s rich history. He expresses his love for video games, stating “I’m a grown man, but I still feel like I’m a kid at heart.”
Snoop Dogg plays video games in his spare time. In recent interviews, he mentioned he prefers sports and fighting titles to shooters like Modern Warfare 3, saying “I don’t do all that ‘cuz I don’t like gettin’ shot.”
He is also going to be available as a non-playable in-game character with the right pre-order content. This is far from Snoop’s first appearance in a video game. He had large roles in games like Def Jam and TrueCrime, just to name a few. Anyone remember Fear & Respect: the Snoop game that never was? How many wish they could have traded in 50 Cent’s Blood on the Sand for a copy of that title!
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is slated for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 September 11th.
