Nintendo has announced that game registration points for Club Nintendo will be changing in a few days. If you’ve got some 3DS eShop games you’ve wanted to buy, you might want to grab them now instead of later since many of their point values will be cut in half. Most eligible games will be dropping in value, but some will be increasing, including Kid Icarus: Uprising, the Nintendogs games, and Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS, which will go from 30 to 40 points. Nintendo Selects and many other Wii games will be plummeting from 50 down to 20, so hurry up and get anything in that line you want before that happens. Wii Fit goes from 80 to 100, while more recent games like Kirby’s Return to Dreamland and Fortune Street will at least retain their current 50 point value instead of dropping.
If you’re like me and you’ve got a bunch of Wii games that you simply haven’t gotten around to actually playing due to system apathy that only subsides when the dust begins to cover up the logo, at least open them up and check for a Club Nintendo card. I did that and got 50 points for Metroid Prime: Trilogy, which I thought I’d actually registered years ago and hadn’t, so be sure to check EVERYTHING lest you wind up 20 points short of something like the second Game and Watch Collection or an awesome set of posters.
