It seems like almost every single game now is including some sort of season pass option, and Darksiders II is no exception. The first piece of downloadable content that’ll be included in the pass will be released on October 30th in North America (and a day later in Europe) through Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Steam. For anyone who hasn’t picked up the twenty dollar value, you can purchase The Abyssal Forge individually for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points), but this begs the question why even include a season pass in the first place?
The big issue here is that, because the season pass is only going to include two pieces of DLC (plus one set of armor), it’s equates to the same price as if you were to buy the content separately. The whole point of selling additional content that isn’t complete yet is to offer it at an appealing value. In any case, the Abyssal Forge will include a brand new swamp area called Shadow Lands and will give players even more hours of adventuring and looting.
