BioWare Mythic Changes its Name…Again

Bioware Mythic has gone through a lot of changes. Founded as “Adventures Unlimited Software” in 1984, they became known as “Mythic Entertainment” in 1997. When EA purchased them in 2006, they were renamed “EA Mythic”. For some reason, they renamed themselves “Mythic Entertainment” again in 2008. When purchased by Bioware in 2009, their name shifted to “BioWare Mythic”. Now, three years later, the studio is simply known as “Mythic.”(though their new website shows “Mythic Entertainment” again) as announced on the Warhammer Online website:

“In the wake of a new focus our studio has recently changed its name from BioWare Mythic to Mythic. Everything else stays the same – our passionate teams will continue to support and develop our existing titles as well as working on some new and exciting projects.”

Boy, talk about being indecisive. Imagine how uncertain kids of team members must feel; one day you’re “David”, the next day, “Rudiger”

Mythic is known for Ultima, Warharmmer Online, Wrath of Heroes and more.
