A few weeks ago, we reported that Aksys had brought back a limited edition pre-order gift, watches from Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last reward, to sell in support of Hurricane Sandy disaster relief. Not only could you snag a snazzy watch, but also help those displaced from the recent tragedy; a fantastic gesture from the independent studio.
Great news, as today it was reported that $12,920 was raised upon selling out of watches in just 24 hours. That means that over 600 were purchased — a very impressive number considering the niche-status of the game and the fact that many fans had likely already received watches from pre-ordering. All of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.
Always nice when gaming can be used as a tool to help those in need.
