Project Versus J Coming to a Sony System Near You… in Japan

Namco Bandai Games recently unveiled their upcoming Jump Ultimate Stars-inspired fighter, Project Versus J. Up and to today, all we have known about the game is the released teaser image which appears to showcase the silhouette of three prominent characters from the Shonen Jump line of anime and manga: Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Luffy from One Piece and Toriko from, well, Toriko. Thankfully, though, we weren’t kept in the dark too long on the more tantalizing details as Namco Bandai have now stated the game will be for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. It could be assumed that there will be cross-play, a la Playstation All-Stars, but that is mere conjecture at this point.

What we do know is that, aside from the aforementioned characters, fans will be able to vote on which other Jump personalities they want to see in the game. It’s saddening to know that discussions regarding the localization of Project Versus J for North America and Europe have not happened as of now, but considering how fresh these announcements are, there’s still plenty of time to receive that earth-shattering news. We suggest keeping your fingers crossed, like all the time, to better ensure the likelihood that they bring this thing to the West.
