The Art Direction in Splinter Cell: Blacklist

If you’re like me, you’re fascinated with the development side of video games, especially in the art department. Ubisoft has given us a small taste of the thought process in recreating the art in Splinter Cell: Blacklist, mainly centered on the idea that the shadows and lighting effects are an entity of their own. If anything, Splinter Cell: Blacklist looks to rely much more heavily on the darkness; something that was needed to a greater degree in Conviction.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2013 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC. Even with Ironside gone, here’s hoping it’s the same old Splinter Cell we’ve come to love.
