|While the PS3 was a slouch at retail in 2012, PSN brought the platform some of its best games ever. Journey is such a game, and tops the list for 2012 because of the experience it provides. While it’s only a few hours long, in that time you’ll find other players online and either get help from them to solve the game’s puzzles, or be the one to offer assistance, as you explore multiple landscapes. The most engrossing part is that it’s all non-verbal — the other person must be read into to find out what they’re doing or where they’re at to figure things out. Together, you’ll cross deserts, encounter wind and sand storms, become caked in snow, and conclude the trek wondering how your gaming library ever lacked Journey.
