While the Wii U may have shortcomings in the hardware department, it’s hard to deny the appeal of Off TV Play. One minute you’re freeing slaves as Ratonhnhaké:ton and the next watching Tabatha’s Salon Takeover; it was truly a nightmare for gamers without a second TV and a girlfriend (a deadly combination if there ever was one). Off TV Play gave many hope, though, as gameplay could seamlessly be shifted onto the Wii U GamePad screen while freeing up the TV for whatever drivel Bravo has on that night.
Unfortunately, however, it was only implemented in a fraction of launch titles. Thankfully, EA has just announced in a Japanese press release that the feature will be included with the Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted when it launches on March 12, 2013. Certainly great news for fans of the game, as well as an exciting indication of EA’s future releases on the console.
Your move, Bravo.
