Team Ninja Wants to Show Wii U Even More Love

For all ten people out there who own a Wii U, and all one-and-a-half out of that ten who own Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, perk up those ears because this news is for you! Team Ninja, the dudes behind Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Metroid: Other M and a few other titles you may know, brought their overhauled rendition of the third Ninja Gaiden installment to Wii U back in November. Since then, the company has seemingly touted their appreciation and support of the console unabashedly. This notion was confirmed though, when Team Ninja bigwig, Yosuke Hayashi, spoke with Official Nintendo Magazine about the subject.

In the interview, he mentioned the studio has plans to release even more games on the Wii U, directly stating, “we are working on an action game, and we are looking into other titles for Wii U.” It’s on the record that the dedicated team has been fiddling with the Nintendo’s box since its very early stages, leading us to believe they are fairly knowledgeable about the system’s inner workings. This is probably the reason why Razor’s Edge was actually a pretty decent game.

With that title out of the way, one has to wonder if there are any plans to bring the recently revealed Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z to Wii U. It would certainly make a lot of sense. Thus, if this sort of news is of interest, it would be wise to keep an ear to the ground for more information as 2013 rolls on.
