Released way back in late-2011 in Japan, Tales of Xillia was met with stellar reviews and many jealous Western fans. It may have taken the game two years to hit North American shores, but we’re finally going to be able to sink our teeth into this evolved Japanese RPG property.
Namco Bandai has been somewhat hesitant in their approach to localize recent Tales games in the West, but with the release of Xillia, it should give them a good understanding of how to approach future titles. If you enjoy any Tales games and want to see future iterations, be sure to support this one when it hits August 6, 2013. Here’s hoping that the sequel, that was released in Japan late last year, may come to us… in two or so years.
Additionally, fans should be excited to learn that Tales of Xillia will receive a spiffy collector’s edition. For $99.99, purchasers will receive the game, a 100-page art book, a soundtrack, and most importantly, an 8″ tall Milla Maxis figure. Get your wallets ready.
