Ratchet & Clank Heads To Theatres in 2015

There are very few times I become excited for a movie adapted from a video game, but when it’s a 3D animated comedy featuring everyone’s favorite fury lombax, then that’s something I can jump on board with. Sony made the announcement today that Ratchet & Clank will be transitioning from video games to the silver screen in 2015. This gives Insomniac Games some time to work on another Ratchet title to coincide with the film.

Being developed by Rainmaker Entertainment, best known for their recent work on Escape from Planet Earth, Ratchet & Clank’s film debut will feature everyone’s favorite cast of characters and well written comedic dialogue (two aspects that follow close with the series). For years now, gamers have been saying how Ratchet & Clank resemble characters of a CG movie, so it’s quite fitting for this to be a reality.
