Scribblenauts Teams Up With DC Comics

One of the most defining 3rd-party Nintendo handheld franchise will be extending its fiction significantly later this year. The developers over at 5th Cell have teamed up with Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring an installment of Scribblenauts like you’ve never seen before. The game will be titled Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure and will feature thousands of your favorite DC superheroes and supervillains in one package. Even better, the player can craft his or her own super character through the game’s Super Hero Creator tool that will be made available to Wii U and PC owners.

“Fans of both DC Comics and Scribblenauts can really let their imaginations run wild with the Super Hero Creator in Scribblenauts Unmasked,” said Jeremiah Slaczka, C.E.O. and Creative Director of 5TH Cell. “Players will be challenged to craft new and never-before-seen characters such as Wonder Joker or Bane Lantern and use them to solve puzzles or share them with friends.”

Explore Gotham City, Metropolis, Atlantis and many other recgonizable landmarks in the DC universe. Additionally, new to the series will be Heroic Feats, a feature that will dynamically create alternative puzzles for any situation. Scribblenauts Unmasked will be out sometime this fall for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and PC platforms in North America, South America and Australia.
