E3 2013: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Konami kicked off Xbox’s conference by showing off their latest in the Metal Gear series. Snake is on a journey to recapture the essence of the battlefield. The year is 1984 and Snake travels through Afghanistan on horseback after a speech from Ocelot. There are new modes of stealth, an open world to explore and a realistic passage of time. New characters were revealed along with enemies of supernaturally seeming skills. Using the Fox Engine, this game looks phenomenal already. Beautiful landscapes, advanced graphics and a serious storyline gave the conference a powerful opening. As of right now, the game is in development for Xbox 360 and PS3 but we’re sure it will make its home on the Xbox One and PS4.
