Xbox One is clearly putting an emphasis on connecting players, and one of the ways it looks to do this is with the integration of Twitch. This will allow gamers to easily stream and broadcast their games directly onto their Twitch channels, making sharing gameplay footage even easier (just don’t ask to share the games themselves). Twitch CEO Emmett Shear commented that:
“Live broadcasting has continued to grow in popularity, but sharing your console experience has never been this easy. Xbox Live Gold is enabling the ability to both upload your gameplay directly to Twitch and to stream Twitch content on Xbox One. The impact of this level of console integration will be a true game changer.”
I doubt this really qualifies as a “game changer” because this isn’t the sort of thing that will draw in people that weren’t already interested in the Xbox One. No one is going to want to share content if they didn’t want that content in the first place, but it is a nice feature, especially for those of us that love watching gaming streams.
