The PlayStation has favored many well-known games featuring beautifully rendered, yet simple graphics, accompanied by sweeping musical arrangements. Years ago was Flower and last year was Journey. Now, we have Splice. Developed by Cipher Prime Studios, Splice is a little more scientific than others. It still retains simple, visually stunning artwork but challenges you on a new level. In the game, you must complete a puzzle by extending and arranging cellular structures. You complete each strand using a certain number of moves, but if that doesn’t work you can simply turn back the clock and start over. Splice has been available through Steam and other platforms since 2012 but is moving to PS3 and PlayStation Network this year.
