Squaresoft originally released the PC version of Final Fantasy VII back in 1998 and only recently updated it for Square Enix’s online digital service. Considering the company’s strong push on Steam over the last couple of years, it’s not a huge surprise it has finally showed up on the service, but it is baffling it took this long. It should have been released much sooner as there have been database entries that were many months old (same with VIII).
Regardless, if there are any PC gamers who may have missed out on Final Fantasy VII over fifteen years ago, you will now be able to obtain the game with ease. Packed with updated Steam achievements, you will be able to purchase Final Fantasy VII at $11.99 here.
