For a long while now, Hardcore Gamer has provided exclusive coverage on video games. While we’ve carved our own niche in this rapidly changing industry, it’s become apparent that our readership is interested in more than just games. Considering our roots, as well as our dedication to detailing the Eastern games market, we felt that it was time to supplement our site with what we believe is a natural extension of the Hardcore Gamer brand. As of now, Hardcore Gamer will have its own Otaku companion site, covering all things Japanese gaming culture-related. What that means is, by clicking the “Japan” link on the navigation bar above, you will be able to catch up on all the anime, manga, import gaming and music news your little Otaku heart can handle.
Meanwhile, nothing will be changing on Hardcore Gamer. Besides myself, the editorial staff of Hardcore Gamer Japan will be separate from that of the gaming side so you can rest assured that the same amount of gaming content will be pumped to your computer screens daily.
As of right now, this portion of our website is still in beta form. It has some kinks to be ironed out, and the team assigned to the coverage is relatively small at the moment. As the Hardcore Gamer Japan Executive Editor, however, I can assure you that these issues will be addressed and mended as we move forward with this new endeavor, so that you can have the same quality experience that’s been synonymous with our brand for years.
This is a very exciting time at Hardcore Gamer. As we continue to grow and expand, we hope that our readers will welcome these new additions with open arms, or at least a sort of optimistic hope, and enjoy being part of our evolution process. We are extremely eager to be able to meet all the demands of our readers, therefore Hardcore Gamer Japan can be seen as another strategy we’re employing to ensure our visitors have a uniquely fulfilling experience not found elsewhere.
So with that said, sit back, relax and check out the Japan section of Hardcore Gamer — we’re delighted to officially launch the project!
