The ESRB Makes a Design Change

After more than a decade of keeping the same style, the ESRB is changing their logos up to keep up with the times. The new logos will be easier to see on mobile devices as they are simplified down. Last time the ESRB changed their logos, is in 1997 when they switched from the pixelated letter look to a bold clean appearance.

“The goal is really to ensure that our symbols are displaying as clearly and legibly as possible in the increasing variety of environments that they’re being displayed [in], including online and [on] mobile devices,” said Patricia Vance, president of the ESRB, to Polygon over email.
