Revealed along side the announcement of the PlayStation 4 back in February, Deep Down was the most talked about game on the next-generation platform. Coming from Capcom, everyone expected it to be their Dragon’s Dogma successor. It seems that’s partially true, but a better comparison would be a mixture between Dark Souls and Assassin’s Creed. During SCEJA’s press conference earlier today, Capcom took stage to show off what they’ve been hard at work on.
Not only did they debut the first ever gameplay footage, but it was up to original expectations. While some are still worried over the game being developed with online first, at least we know that true next generation visuals are just around the corner. Deep Down continues to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but unfortunately we still have no information regarding its release. Having it playable at TGS is a good start, though.
