The PlayStation 4 lets you do a lot of things. Talk to friends, stalk girls you’ve had a crush on since elementary school, watch movies in glorious HD, hell, even play games. There’s really only one thing missing: crime solving. Sure, you can load some NCIS episodes on to the console and watch Gibbs parade around the south to your hearts content, but that isn’t very interactive — unless you dress up like a naval investigator and pretend to be part of the team. We don’t judge you. Regardless of how you planned on passing your time with the PlayStation 4, there’s a new game on the block, and it plans on bringing a bit of Sherlock to your Holmes. Yeah, I said it.
Previously announced for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Crimes & Punishments, the investigation game developed by Frogwares Studio will be finding a home on the PlayStation 4.
In Crimes & Punishment: Sherlock Holmes, players will take control of the famous detective and explore realistic, finely detailed environments, investigate eight captivating cases including murders, thefts, disappearances and more; make game-changing moral choices that will determine how the adventure will conclude, and let you embody Sherlock like never before. Unless you actually are Sherlock, in which case it doesn’t. But you should still play the game, because the cases were written in the tradition of Conan Doyle’s novels, and it could be a bit of nostalgia for you.
