Batman: Arkham Origins To Receive Season Pass

It’s surprising that Season Passes have taken off as much as they have in past couple of years. While some have had questionable releases, such as Saints Row: The Third, there are games that have helped shape the future of downloadable content, such as Borderlands 2. Warner Bros. Interactive is looking to take advantage of the Season Pass model by bringing five pieces of downloadable content to Batman: Arkham Origins.

Priced at $19.99, and valued at $30, Arkham Origin’s season pass will include five unannounced downloadable content packs, mainly consisting of a variety of skins. This includes the New Millennium Skins Pack, Infinite Earth Skins Pack, Arkham Origins Initiation and an all new story campaign. Additionally, exclusive to season pass owners will be the Gotham by Gaslight Batman Skin and the Brightest Day Batman Skin.

To be honest, it’s great to see a deal, but what it seems like you’re paying for are skins for Batman. This would be fine at launch, but how many people actually buy aesthetics for a single-player game well after they’ve beaten the campaign? In any case, Batman: Arkham Origins will be out October 25 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U platforms.
