Following their SteamOS and Steam Machines announcements is, of course, a controller. Because people want to play their games from a distance and on their big screen TVs, Valve has crafted a controller that looks very out of the ordinary but can handle such tasks.
The controller will come with a pair of trackpads that are touch sensitive, a small touch screen in the middle, and sixteen buttons. Valve has designed this controller to work with all existing games (along with future releases) and is completely hackable for their community to experiment on. It’s definitely a unique looking device, but whether or not people want it as a standard is still in question. More details can be found here.
