It’s hard to imagine that Mighty No. 9 was first revealed a little over a month ago and it has come so far. The Kickstarter project from video game luminary Keiji Inafune has not only been funded, but nearly quadrupled its initial goal of $900,000. With the final stretch of twenty-four hours remaining, the Mega Man-esque action platformer has made significant strides, going from a small independent game on the PC to a multi-platform release that’s rich with content. One of the last goals it has been able to accomplish is receiving over $3.3 million, allowing for their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One stretch goals to become a reality.
With less than a day to go, if you want in on the project or any of the goodies associated with the higher tiers, now is the best time to do so. You know I’ll be contributing solely for the fact that the hero and I share the same name. Mighty No. 9 will be out on PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 spring of 2015. If it can somehow scrape together another $200k in the next twenty-so hours, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility, it will also be heading to the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
