It was announced today that popular Japanese video game publisher, Idea Factory, have established a branch in North America. Dubbed “Idea Factory International,” the studio will be based in California and assist in providing information about Idea Factory properties in the states. No word one what this will mean for the localization of these properties, such as Hyperdimension Neptunia and Spectral Force. Multiple publishers have handled their games here, such as NISA, Atlus and Aksys, with NIS handling their most recent releases. In Japan, however, their releases are typically published by Idea Factory subsidiary Compile Hearts, leading to speculation on if this move is to publish their own games instead of relying on third parties.
