New Pokémon Images Were Leaked Across the Web (Don’t Worry, No Screenshots Here)

The nerve of some people. While many game reviewers receive advanced copies of games, they at least have the decency not to spoil anything for others. In the past 24 hours or so, there have been many fan-posted images on Instagram, Tumblr and the like, revealing new Pokémon and their evolutions. Apparently, the small, local stores that sell games were shipped copies of X and Y and then sold those copies to customers early. There was even a post on Tumblr with the name and address of a store in Canada selling advanced copies, but the post has been removed. While other websites have posted screenshots from the new game, we will not. Since the leaked images have not been confirmed by Nintendo, you may view them at your own discretion.

We will, however, let you know about the evolved forms of Spritzee and Swirlix. This image was taken from a magazine and features the two new Fairy Pokémon. The little cotton candy dog evolves into Slurpuff and is known as the Whipped Cream Pokémon. It’s cute and looks delicious and hopefully won’t give you any cavities. Spritzee’s evolution is not what was expected. Aromatisse is the Fragrance Pokémon and looks more like a bug with an outrageous outfit than anything we thought it would turn into. Perhaps a slight nod to French painter Henri Matisse. There might be another evolution on the way for both of these fuzzballs. In the meantime, if you don’t want any spoilers, don’t go looking for any. Stay away from all those social media sites. There’s not even two weeks left until the worldwide release, so just hold tight.
