Last week future PS4 owners got some pretty bad news. Anticipated launch title Watch Dogs was delayed into 2014. The game was set to come with plenty of PlayStation exclusive content and was easily one of the most anticipated Fall 2013 games across all platforms. More news hit just a few days later when Sony announced that Driveclub would meet the same fate. Fans can now at least feel a sense of relief knowing that Killzone: Shadow Fall will indeed be there on the shelf Day 1.
Guerilla Games took to Twitter today to announce that Killzone: Shadow Fall has gone gold. For those who don’t know, a game is considered gold when it is done being worked on and the disks are ready to be pressed.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is the fourth main entry in the Killzone franchise and the first on the PS4. It takes place 30 years after the events of Killzone 3 and sees the Vektan and Helghast populations attempting to live together on a divided Vekta. A rebel faction of Helghast launches an assault on the Vektan side of the plant setting off a cold war. As a Shadow Marshal, it is up to you to put down the rebels before all-out war engulfs the planet.
Guerilla Games upcoming shooter has long been the most anticipated PS4 exclusive Sony is launching alongside the console. Based on everything we’ve seen we can easily say that the game looks quite incredible.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is out November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe exclusively on PS4.
