There seems to be very few systems that Trine 2 isn’t on as Frozenbyte is making sure every single player gets to experience the magical journey. The PC and Wii U versions are by far the best editions of the game, supporting precise controls, a steady framerate, and overall better visuals, but it looks Sony’s next platform will be trying to best that.
The newly revamped version of Trine 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and will include the main campaign, the expansion packs (Goblin Menace and the Dwarven Caverns), and graphical upgrades. The game will run in glorious 1080p at 60 frames-per-second and even supports stereoscopic 3D (which I hope still runs at a high framerate). No release date has been given, but it wouldn’t be surprised if it came within the first six months of the console’s release.
