Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman are teaming up once again for The Walking Dead: Season Two, the followup to the acclaimed The Walking Dead: Season 1. Season Two will continue the story of Clementine, the young girl that players grew close with throughout Season 1. Players will take control of her for the first time as she continues to struggle to live in the world of The Walking Dead.
“The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman’s world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series,” said Dan Connors, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we’ll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted.”
The Walking Dead: Season Two is expected to premiere this year and will consist of five episodes, like last season. They will all be released digitally with the season expected to wrap up sometime in 2014. Players can pre-order the Season Pass for the PC and Mac versions and save 10%, which comes in at a cost of $22.49.
Also, this November, Telltale Games will release The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – Game of the Year Edition to retailers for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will consist of all five episodes plus the ‘400 Days’ DLC. It will cost $29.99.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 is out sometime this year on PC, Mac, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and other unannounced platforms. Check out the debut trailer below:
