Sony is Working to Bring Shenmue to PlayStation

Adam Boyes, VP, Publisher & Developer Relations at Sony has had his ear to the media for a while now. Boyes has been making a list, and checking whether or not it should see an HD Remix or native release — twice. Mr. Boyes has been listing every game that North American PlayStation fans have been requesting, and working on bringing them the goods. The massive list of demanded titles includes the Dreamcast fan favorite, Shenmue; as well as Final Fantasy Type-0, Yakuza, and many more.

In a discussion with Kotaku, Boyes expressed his dedication to providing the content that PlayStation fans want most.

“The key is to bring people that are fans of certain content great stuff. So if people are fans of Japanese content, you can imagine that’s a place we’re putting a lot of effort into. People who are fans of the Vita, you can imagine we’re putting lots of effort into that.”

Fans wondering when they’ll be able to sink their teeth into these previously Japanese only titles, “I would say in the next year’s time, if you’re a fan of Japanese games, if you’re a fan of Vita, then hopefully we’ll have a little treat for you.”
