Speedball 2 HD Coming to PC on December 5

Long-time gamers may remember the original release of Speedball on the Amiga, or on the NES as Klash Ball while younger players are more likely to recall the PSOne game. Speedball 2100 hit the PS1 towards the end of its life as the best $10 brand new offering available, and the series has seen a bit of a revival with re-releases on XBLA, PSN, and Steam. Now, a true remake of Speedball 2 is due out on December 5 as Speedball 2 HD is set for release on Steam.¬†This revamped game offers up the same blend of hockey and handball fans have expected, just with better-looking visuals , new teams, and some new arenas. You’ll also be able to customize your own team, and collect Steam Badges, Cards, and Wallpapers.¬† The game will normally cost $10, but you can pre-order it now for a mere $8. Speedball 2100 was an outstanding $10 buy 13 years ago, and while the expectations of what you can get for $10 have changed since then, this series is still enjoyable and this entry is well worth checking out if you like the franchise.
