Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind Gets a J-Rock Infused 3DS trailer

Attack on Titan is becoming one of the most popular current anime franchises in America, which admittedly isn’t saying much these days considering the genre’s steep drop from our pop cultural lexicon. Regardless, it’s a suitably weird and deliciously action-packed manga and anime series that seems perfect to be translated into video game form. Which it has been. A trailer was released for the upcoming Attack on Titan 3DS game today, which features a rundown of its modes and snippets of gameplay.

Graphically, the game looks surprisingly good and could easily be at home on the PS Vita. Plus you bring down giant, weird-looking titans. That’s always a plus.

Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind is due out on December 15 in Japan on the 3DS at 6,090 yen from Spike Chunsoft. No word on a US release yet, but if its popularity continues to grow, a stateside release seems possible.
