It’s a John Carmack news fire sale! First the respected game designer left id Software, dashing the hopes of numerous Doom and Quake fans. Now, Carmack has shot down hopes of the Oculus Rift coming to PS4. In response to a tweet asking for it to come to the gaming console, Carmack responded that “Sony would have to allow support for the sensor interface. I’m not holding my breath.”
Unfortunate, but also not all too surprising considering the PlayStation Eye’s existence. It’s too bad that Sony won’t play nice with an outside motion gaming device. Keep the news coming, Carmack!
