Battlefield 4 has been a hot mess ever since its launch on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. All of these problems continued onto the PS4 and Xbox One versions with users unable to get into certain game modes and finding their save files deleted. After weeks of silence, and very few patches, Dice and EA are finally getting serious about fixing these issues.
EA has revealed that Dice has put all future projects on hold in order to fix Battlefield 4. This includes all Battlefield 4 expansions, which will now be delayed past their original release. dates. It is not known if this will also affect Star Wars: Battlefront or Mirror’s Edge, which are both being developed by Dice.
“First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4,” EA said in their statement. “We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game — it is absolutely our No. 1 priority.
“The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we’re not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4.
“We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right.”
Currently two expansions packs have already been released; China Rising for Premium Subscribers and Second Assault for Xbox players. Both expansion packs have caused issues for the game as well.
