The LEGO Movie Videogame Announced For Almost Every Platform

The LEGO Movie releases next February so it seems pretty obvious that Warner Bros., who own the LEGO property, would have a video game prepared to launch alongside the film.  The LEGO Movie Videogame launches February 2014 alongside the film on basically every platform available right now.

The LEGO Movie Videogame will build upon the foundations of previous video games.  It will still be a light-hearted action-adventure title where players will take control of many different characters as they complete missions.  A new addition to the game is the presence of Normal Builders, like main protagonist Emmett, and Master Builders like Vitruvius.  Master Builders can build whatever they want, but Normal Builders require blueprints in order to build.

The plot of the game looks to mirror the film with some scenes being adapted into the videogame.  Players will play as original characters like Emmett and Wyldstyle alongside established characters like Batman and Superman.

The LEGO Movie Videogame is out sometime in February 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita and 3DS.  Check out the announcement trailer below:
