The Elder Scrolls Online Launches April 2014 on PC and Mac, June 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One

Fans hungry to jump back into the world of Cyrodil won’t have to wait much longer to jump back in.  Bethesda Softworks has officially announced that PC and Mac players will be able to join the Alliance War starting April 4, 2014.  PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait till June 2014 before they can join the action.

The Elder Scrolls Online is the first MMORPG set in The Elder Scrolls universe.  ZeniMax Online Studios is heading development of the game and is working hard to replicate the Elder Scrolls experience in an MMO setting.  The game is currently in beta testing on PC with a PS4 beta set to start sometime in the near future.  No reason was given for the multi-month delay of the console versions.

To celebrate the announcement of the release date Bethesda has also released a brand new trailer highlighting the Alliance War in Cyrodil.  Players will choose one of three alliances and rally forces in the heart of Cyrodil and face your enemies, conquer fortifications and claim the Ruby Throne.

The Elder Scrolls Online is out April 4, 2014 on PC and Mac and June 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One.  Check out the latest trailer below:
