Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ‘Freedom Cry’ DLC Makes Port Next Week

Ubisoft has confirmed when users will be able to enjoy the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.  Step into the shoes of Adewale fifteen years after the events of the main game on December 17 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.  No word on it the Wii U version will also get the DLC.  Freedom Cry is part of the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass so subscribers can start downloading the moment the DLC becomes available.

Freedom Cry is a nine-mission story starring Adewale, Edward Kenway’s first mate throughout the main game.  Taking place fifteen years after the events of the main game, Adewale is now a fully trained assassin.  Shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue, Adewale must begin a new adventure of his own.

Freedom Cry is the promised single player expansion pack that Ubisoft promised when they announced the Season Pass.  While nice, it is not as ambitious as Assassin’s Creed III: Tyranny of King Washington, a three-part story arc for Assassin’s creed III.  Still, those hungry for more Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag should find their appetite satisfied.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is out now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.  The game is also available on Wii U but it is unknown if any DLC will launch on the platform.
