Nintendo and Platinum Games made a lot of people last year when they announced that Bayonetta 2 would be releasing exclusively on the Wii U. Fans who had waited years for this announcement immediately began demanding that Platinum bring the title to PS3 and Xbox 36o. Even to this day fans are still angrily demanding the game be released on PlayStation and Xbox, and it looks like someone on the Bayonetta team finally snapped.
Bayonetta 2 producer JP Kellams snapped at users on Twitter about how tired he is of hearing these demands. “I hate posting anything Bayonetta 2 on our Facebook. Not because I hate Bayonetta 2, but because I hate the pedantic port-begging.”
The original Bayonetta launched in 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360. It sold moderately well, but it clearly was not enough to convince Sega to publish a sequel. The reason why Bayonetta 2 is exclusive to Wii U is because Nintendo is 100% funding the game, and that is why it is unlikely to come to other platforms in the future.
Bayonetta 2 is out sometime in 2014 exclusively for the Wii U.
