Battlefield 4 Xbox One Patch Finally Released

Battlefield 4 Xbox One players will finally get some relief of the many problems they have faced since launch.  Just like the PS4 version of Battlefield 4, Xbox One users excited to get the full Battlefield experience on consoles have had to suffer a string of embarrassing bugs and glitches since the game’s release.  Two expansions – Second Assault and China Rising – ended up creating more problems on top of already game breaking problems.  Well, at least some of those might be fixed.

Dice has posted on the Battlelog forums that they are rolling out an Xbox One patch today.  “We will be rolling out the Xbox One game update today, starting 10AM UTC / 2AM PDT. Players may experience some downtime as we upgrade our services. Expect patch notes to become available soon.”  We have yet to see those patch notes, but if it is anything like the PS4 patch then a lot should be fixed.

Battlefield 4 has become a source of embarrassment for EA and Dice.  The game has been broken since its launch on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC back in October.  The next-gen versions didn’t fair so well either.  Last week, EA announced that Dice would be suspending all work on future expansions and games to focus 100% on fixing Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
