Good news for PC players hoping to enjoy a taste of cutting enemies in half. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance should be launching on Steam for PC very soon. That’s according to the latest Kojima Productions Alert podcast where host Sean Eyestone revealed that the game was going through the final stages of processing for Steam release and that “you’ll be seeing it pop up on Steam any day now.”
Metal Gear Rising: Revengance is a brand new brand in the Metal Gear franchise starring Raiden, the ninja that first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and later resurfaced as a cybernetic ninja in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Revengeance is a hack-and-slash title developed by Platinum Games with the unique mechanic of slicing almost anything into tiny little pieces. The game launched back in February on PS3 and Xbox 360 to good reviews praising the combat and cutting mechanic. It was criticized for being too short and having a pretty bad story. Back in May it was announced for PC.
Arriving on PC, players will get to enjoy a 60fps experience and enhanced visuals. Both DLC packs – Jetstream and Blade Wolf – will be included in the purchase. Keep an eye on Steam for the game. There will be no retail release in stores.
