Unearthed is the First Commercial Saudi Arabian Game on Steam

When thinking of hotspots of game development in the world, many tend to focus on Japan, Europe, and the United States. Still, there are many from outside these regions devoted to making games. Case in point, Semaphore is a Saudi Arabian-based developer of multimedia, games, and simulators who has pushed to get their game recognized in regions outside of the Middle East.

Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta – Episode 1 was a Steam Greenlight success and has finally launched on Steam proper. Previously, the game had seen release on the European PSN as well as on Android and iOS. So far, media response has been unfavorable due to the close similarity to the Uncharted series as well as problematic gameplay.

If you’re interested in playing Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta then try and pick it up before the sale ends on January 10th. Right now the title is 20% off, making it $3.99 instead of $4.99.
