Video game fan art and fan fiction can be scary things, but fan translations are a much appreciated labor of love. Aeon Genesis are among these passionate translation teams that work hard at localizing retro classics from the land of the rising sun, making them playable for the first time to English speaking audiences.
The Game Gear, a handheld perhaps almost as under-appreciated as the Neo Geo Pocket, certainly had cool RPGs going for it like Shining Force and Defenders of Oasis. Royal Stone was another really impressive looking RPG for the system, originally released in Japan back in 1995.
Aeon Genesis has finished translating Royal Stone and it is now playable for the first time in English. The patch is available for download on their site.
