For a game that Sega hasn’t even announced yet or won’t confirm exists, they’re sure doing a bad job keeping it under wraps. First we had the box art and concept art leak, then we had a handful of screenshots leak, then we probably had twenty other things I’m forgetting and now a since removed listing has popped up on the Xbox Marketplace which details the game.
Thankfully, a NeoGAF user was able to grab the information before it was pulled:
Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien™, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance. As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

So the good news is that it is indeed a survival horror game, which is exactly the direction the series has needed to take for years. The even better news is that it comes from Creative Assembly, who are a pretty darn good developer (if you take away the launch issues with Total War: Rome II). Rumor has it that the next issue of Game Informer will cover the game in detail, so keep your eyes peeled.
In the meantime, check out this cool xenomorph image that also leaked today:
