Ever dreamed of becoming emperor but the real world’s governments just won’t let you? Well ZeniMax Online Studios have you covered with The Elder Scrolls Online. The developers have confirmed before that it is possible to become Cyrodiil’s Emperor.
In an interview with OXM, Game Director Paul Sage explained that the task will be hard, but well worth it. “Players who become Emperor will get a full skill line that they keep throughout the rest of their lives in The Elder Scrolls Online. It won’t be easy to become Emperor, but we think people will be glad they worked for it.”
So, how does one become emperor? Well it all comes down to Alliance Points. These are earned by defeating players in PvP matches, healing allies, gathering experience and more. Alliance Points can also be acquired from capturing keeps throughout Cyrodiil.
Once an alliance has captured every keep in surrounding the Imperial City then the member with the most Alliance Points is crowned the emperor and bestowed with the new skill line and generous stat bonuses. However, it is possible to lose the crown and all those wonderful buffs.
The Elder Scrolls Online is out April 4 for PC and Mac. The PS4 and Xbox One versions won’t hit shelves until sometime in June.
