Kirby’s Epic Yarn was a phenomenal Wii title. Heck, it was more than that even; it was just a great platformer in general. Sure, it may have not felt like a “true” Kirby game, and some folks scoffed at the lack of difficulty, but it was nevertheless an engaging adventure title that was, if nothing else, absolutely adorable. But that was three years ago. Since then, we’ve received Return to Dreamland and Mass Attack, which were great installments in their own right. In actuality, the Kirby series is one of the more consistent franchises out there, which is why the announcement of the 3DS entry, Triple Deluxe, has piqued fans’ interests.
Despite knowing of its existence for some time now, we haven’t actually seen a lot of true gameplay from Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Fortunately, that’s not the case any longer. Included in the video below is 35 minutes of gameplay footage. While Mass Attack and Yarn were less traditional games in the series, Triple Deluxe is looking to be a lot more conventional than those predecessors. So, take a glance at what it has to offer.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe launches on 3DS today in Japan, and then sometime in Q2/Q3 of this year for North America and Europe.
