Trolling others in multiplayer games is typically a decidedly uncreative process. Most of the time, it involves someone screaming racist profanities into their mic, running away with all the health packs, and then yelling at his mom that he’ll be down for dinner in a minute. Some individuals, however, have refined trolling to an art form and take great pleasure in coming up with creative ways to ruin your online experience. YouTube user Master of Luck happens to be one of these fine individuals, and luckily for us he has uploaded his devious exploits to Youtube for our enjoyment.
He uses the gamertag “Xbox Sign Out” and mucks around in Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox One until his teammates yell at him. As the Xbox One is voice activated, uttering “Xbox, sign out” near your system will bring up the sign out screen and ask for confirmation that you really want to sign out. Really, a bit of a mild annoyance so long as you aren’t randomly mashing buttons at the time and accidentally sign yourself out as you can just back out of the screen. The hilarity comes from listening to peoples’ reactions as they realize what just happened which varies from genuine amusement to terrified panic at the demon machine that is trying to shut itself off for no reason. Some clever individuals realize what his name means prior to saying it and warn their teammates, and some not so clever individuals don’t realize until it is too late and then plead to their Xbox to stop listening to them.
Check out the Youtube video below to see all the Xbox signing out related hijinks. Now excuse me while I go think of other evil gamertag names I can use to mess with people. This video shows me two things: people really don’t realize what they are saying when they say it and wow there are a lot of 12 year olds playing Call of Duty: Ghosts.
