Dice has delivered another patch for the PS4 and PS3 versions of Battlefield 4. This patch is mostly to improve stability and fix some balancing issues, which is great considering that the game is still quite broken. It’s good to see that EA and Dice are still committed to fixing the game.
Some platform specific fixes have been implemented. On the PS4, the flickering on the map and mini-map should be gone now. Dice has also fixed the issue of players spawning underneath the map on Lancang Dam. You can view the full list of updates and fixes for the PS4 version here.
The PS3 version has received some animation fixes. An animation issue when aiming from the back of a bike has been cleaned up. That annoying camera glitch that occurs when changing weapons is also gone. You can view the full list of updates and fixes for the PS3 version here.
Battlefield 4 has been plagued by issues ever since its launch on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC back in October 2013. The Xbox One version was found to have problems when it launched. The PS4 version was completely broken with user unable to sign into Origin or even get in games. They were also at risk of having their saved data deleted due to a CE error. EA has responded by halting all future Dice projects until the game is fixed. Currently, EA has been slapped with two lawsuits over Battlefield 4’s quality.
