Yesterday a leaked image revealed that Left Behind, the single player DLC for The Last of Us, would release February 14. In other words, Valentine’s day. While Sony did remove the listing from the PlayStation Store, Naughty has confirmed that the date listed is real.
Speaking on Twitter, Naughty Dog sent out the confirmation. “Yes, it’s true! The Last of Us: Left Behind releases Valentine’s Day, Feb 14, 2014.”
The Last of Us launched June 2013 to stellar reviews. Confirmation of single player DLC came from the Season Pass that promised it along with two multiplayer DLC packs. Left Behind was officially announced at the PS4 launch event along with a few details.
Left Behind takes place before the events of the main game. Players will follow the story of Ellie and her friend Riley as they inch towards the events that take place in The Last of Us. It is likely that Ellie will be the playable character while Riley acts as the AI companion.
The Last of Us: Left Behind is out February 14. You can check out our review here and find out why this game is so special.
