The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy comes to an end this February when it launched in North America and Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360. Addressing concerns from fans, the team working on the title has promised significant changes to the formula. While all the changes have been shown in trailers and at press events, the general public has so far been unable to try themselves.
Today the public will finally get to see what Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is all about. Square Enix is launching the demo on PSN and Xbox Live that will showcase many of the new gameplay mechanics and new social features. Those who play the demo and use the social features will get the Siegfried costume for Lightning.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the third entry in the controversial Final Fantasy XIII trilogy that has been going on since 2010. Both Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 have garnered mixed-reception and remain the lowest scoring main entries in the franchise. Square Enix has confirmed that Lightning Returns will be the last game in the trilogy.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is out February 11 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
