Tales of Phantasia Comes to iOS

Bandai Namco (formerly Namco Bandai) has released a free-to-play port of the celebrated JRPG Tales of Phantasia on iOS. Originally released on the Super Famicom in 1995 as the first installment in the popular Tales series, the mobile version features increased difficulty to push players towards micro-transactions, like items that improve stats and revive characters, along with new touch controls and game center integration. However, the game strangely requires an internet connection at all times, which may be a deal breaker for many potential players. Regardless, free is free, and it’s a great opportunity to experience a classic of the genre.
